When you buy something, there may be times when you need to count numbers.
In Korean, there is more than one way to count numbers.
But today, we are going to learn the basic numbers you can use when buying things or ordering food.
These are useful when you want to say how many items you want.
In Korean, “개(geh)” is a common counter used when counting items.
You can put a number before “개(geh)” to say how many items you want.
For example:
한 개 = one
두 개 = two
세 개 = three
When you want to order or buy something, you can simply add “주세요(Ju-say-O)” after it.
한 개 주세요. (Han geh, Ju-say-O)
One, please.
두 개 주세요.(Two geh, Ju-say-O)
Two, please.
세 개 주세요.(Say-geh, Ju-say-O)
Three, please.
This is a very useful pattern when ordering food, buying things, or pointing at something you want.
